WELLINGTON

Wellington is known as the
windy city and is the gateway between the north and
south islands. It is often maligned as simply a port
city, a rather boring capital and for its often bad
weather. But it does boast a pleasant harbour front,
the excellent Te papa museum, cable car ride, adventure
activities, fine sushi bars and second hand bookstores,
and a lively culture of arts and festivals.
