CANBERRA

Most people are surprised to hear this is the nation's capital, if they've heard of Canberra at all. It's full of pollies (Australian slang for politicians), businesspeople and is a planned city with grid like navigation through endless roundabouts. The major attractions are Parliament House, the Australian Institute of Sport, the National Gallery and Museum of Australia.
